Not-To-Be-Missed Disney Attractions

Even though all of Disney's locations are fabulous and should be a part of everyone's childhood at one point or another, there are certain attractions that simply cannot be missed! Whether in their Florida or California locations, each have special and unique attractions that are sure to please! Whether you're a shoe-in for the classic attractions or if you prefer the new-fangled rides and attractions, Disney has something for everyone.

A truly successful attraction takes you from your life and transports you to the place and time of the attraction. Take "Finding Nemo" for example, at Disneyland in Anaheim. You get into a yellow submarine to experience the world from Nemo's point of view. As the submarine sinks deeper into the water, you can view what it's like to live under the sea and be a part of the drama that unfolds. It is a true escape from reality. The graphics and technology in the Star Tours ride is second to none. Once strapped in to the spaceship-like cabin's passenger seat, you're taken into deep space where you'll feel every bump, acceleration, and nosedive in this hair-raising adventure!

A Disney classic that is also a favorite of mine is Space Mountain. Even though they've newly completed its renovation, it is even better than before! Just when you think the ride is over, another sharp turn in the dark caverns takes you by surprise. I love it every time! Another classic that many tout as the best ride ever made is the Pirates of the Caribbean. Before the movie even was even a wink of an idea, this ride captivated guests with its comical and dark plot along with its boat-style ride and true-to-life scenery. I never miss this one when I visit Disneyland! My third favorite classis is another ride found at Disneyland in Anaheim: the Haunted Mansion. I still can't figure out how they get those ghosts to dance about on the ballroom dance floor or to appear next to you in the mirror you look into as the ride ends! Truly genius!

If you're visiting Disney's California Adventure or Disney's Hollywood Studios, you'll definitely want to check out the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This titillating combination of a scary tale and a freefalling ride makes for a ride you'll never forget! With so many unexpected twists and turns in the plot and the ride, you'll feel a part of the story the moment you set foot inside. Another favorite at California Adventure and Epcot is Disney's Soarin' Over California attraction. With the feeling of actually soaring over the various landscapes that make California so unique, you can't help but want to go on this one again and again!

Maybe you're ready for a short one-day trip to one of Disney's Florida or California locations. Or, perhaps you're ready to take the plunge and stay at one of Disney's Resorts and spend a week exploring the parks and their surroundings. Either way, you're sure to find that Disney's attractions will leave you breathless and feelings like you've just stepped out of reality and into "The Happiest Place on Earth"!
